GraphiCad Ltd. is Gloucestershire based but our Plan & Drawing Printing Service is nationwide. Some of our most regular customers are located as far afield as Lincolnshire, Hampshire and Cornwall, so we can efficiently service anywhere in the country and usually Next Day! (Post Office permitting)

PAPER TO CAD CONVERSION GraphiCad is now able to offer you a means by which your own existing or third party paper drawings & plans can be scanned and converted to AutoCAD DWG files.

 This is how it works. GraphiCad receives any hard copy drawing that you wish to be converted and you have specified the version of DWG that you would like the output to be converted to  i.e. AutoCAD LT 2010 or AutoCAD Pro 2014 etc. GraphiCad scans that drawing, to a PDF, and forwards it to our service provider. A combination of automation and manual manipulation is then employed to turn your paper drawing into a fully functional DWG CAD file that can be used within almost every CAD package. You can post us your original, or if it’s valuable we can arrange Courier collection. Of course, you can deliver it in person and, usually within 3 Working Days of receipt, we are able to email you back your fully functional DWG and return your paper original to you. Costs may vary slightly, dependent on the density and coverage of the drawing to be converted but please see our PDF Price List for the Standard service.

ON DEMAND SCANNING GraphiCad can scan your documents, up to A0, in colour or mono using our most recent investment, the Colortrac Smart LF36 scanner. We can scan to a PDF, TIFF, JPEG & PNG file formats and this device enables us to offer on demand Colour Plan Printing from your original hard copy drawing or other images.

ARCHIVAL SCANNING  GraphiCad also provides an archiving service and will transfer your existing paper history to an electronic file format, of your choice, at a volume and pace to suit your requirements and budget. We are willing to negotiate a notably lower price based on Volumes and Time Scales Call us or email for details.

COLOUR PLAN PRINTING For colour CAD work, we have two 36” Hewlett Packard DesignJet Colour Inkjet Printer/Plotters. Our most recent acquisition is our high speed HP DesignJet T930, supplemented by our loyal old workhorse, the DesignJet 1050C. We can now print to a maximum resolution of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi. For standard inkjet CAD output, we prefer to print onto a smooth, fine quality but economical Xerox 90 gsm Uncoated Paper.

BLACK & WHITE PRINTING is still an option but not at a lower cost, anymore. Out Black & White digital machine broke down and, despite our best efforts, we were unable to obtain the spare drum it needed.  So if there is a technical reason that you require Black and White, please say so at the outset, as colour is now the default position. 

COLOUR VARIATIONS For that more important presentation or specialised application, we alternatively offer Satin Photobase Paper, Matt Presentation Paper and translucent 112gsm tracing paper or 75 micron Polyester Film. However, if you have a requirement for prints onto materials other than these, please advise & we will almost certainly be able to accommodate you.

ORIGINAL HARD originals can be a manual ink or pencil drawing, an inkjet or pen plot or even a copy of an original drawing. We can reproduce from originals drafted onto any media, tracing paper, translucent film, vellum or white opaque paper, even from old dyeline prints, the appearance of which, we may also be able to enhance. Further, your choice of folding or rolling is included in the print prices given.

DELIVERY BY POST is a popular option for our remote clients. We are happy to mail prints back to yourself, the designer/originator or back directly to your client and/or their tradespeople. This is charged at Royal Mail’s current Cost + a modest 30 pence tom cover the Envelope and Label.

DELIVERY BY COURIER If we have printed a larger job for you, or you require timed and signed for Delivery to your important client, UK Mail are the service we use to ensure your satisfaction. Billed at Cost.

COLLECTION is available for our local clients. Our location offers parking directly outside of our premises. We have Internal Collection Boxes for unattended pick ups.
